Real Girl

Let me show you I am for real
and not a puppet on a string.
I am no longer your programmed robot,
but instead a cloud dancer
ready to claim all of my tomorrows.

You made the little girl inside of me
run away like a stranger on horseback,
but she is not dead yet-
unlike your concrete heart.

You know my story like nobody else,
but you do not know the reason
I am smiling here today.

The hope and courage which beats
inside my heart everyday,
knowing that I will be the one
to make all my dreams come true -

starting firstly by saying,
I am no longer that little girl
who is terrified of you!
