Karma's Eyes

by Baby Rainbow   Nov 16, 2014

I used to be envious of the power you held,
contemplating how much control you had
at your fingertips - obedience with a click.

But I realise now that loneliness
must enclose your freezing heart
and linger as your shadow.

And I wonder when fear
will stop touching your ticking heart,
teasing it like a cat does a mouse.

Your guilt seems to be catching up,
and you have no where left to hide.

Karma is fascinating with its
ever watching eyes -

I hope you become shrouded
in the darkest place of panic
where you feel so
unprotected...

... as I place my feet firmly
on the ground of new found safety.

Very powerful stuff, Saffie! Well constructed and written! I like the almost 'swapping places' idea!
