Second chances
How many times have you later awake at night
Praying to The Lord up above
For another chance to make things right

A second chance
Won't always come our way
More often than not
It's something that chooses to stay away

But if God chooses
To give you that second chance
Take your time and go slow
Give it more than a quick glance

Take things easy
And don't rush too fast
Because since you have another chance
It's imperative to learn from the past

And learning from the past
Will ways take some time
It's not something that happens quick
Like simply dropping a dime

The second chance
It's very rare indeed
So thank The Lord for it
And enjoy it at a slow snails speed
