For You

by Narph   Nov 20, 2014

I've been
waiting by the dip
of your smooth neck,
icing my tongue
along your collarbone.
I've been
carving skeletons
from our closets, nodding
dry skulls,
reenacting
in a desperate spittle,
an impossible future.

I've been
hanging like a bead
broken from a charm,
wondering
how many times those
rollicking waves
have broken my dusty
bones, or how many times I've sipped
heat from dreams,
though you're never real
in the morning.

    This is excellent.
The way it read so smooth and the words you used.

I don't get why this hasn't been commented on yet?!?!

    This poem is just WOW.

I love the language you used and the way you presented it makes the reader (well me anyway) read it slowly which just add's to the gravity of the write overall.

I felt emmersed in it almost straight away, really excellent writing :)
