Mindlessly,
I divulge information
to the parent's parent whose
clawing coral nails
traced patterns on my tired face,
called it soothing,
and set my dreams to spiders.
You, who
should've held my confidence
to your weathered bosom
and grasped me tight,
only wavered on the phone,
applied pressure, huffed
and grunting over power lines,
called me a burden,
then soothed my wounds
with grandma's love.
