This unknown pain

by Cody   Nov 22, 2014

As I lie here tonight
A blank stare on my face
Struggling so hard to fight
This unknown pain

It's unknown to me
Because I've never felt it before
Oh how I wish I could flee
This unknown pain

It was such a wonderful day
Another chance to hold onto hope
But nothing could prepare me for the words you'd say
When you revealed this unknown pain

And as the words spewed from your lips
Severing all life to my heart
My life's light fell to a total eclipse
Because of this unknown pain

My soul is now completely shattered
My hope had been kept in vain
You proved that I no longer mattered
By causing me this unknown pain

Now visions play in my head
Expertly narrated by the words you spoke
I hope your sinful, selfish desires were fed
While I become familiar with this unknown pain

I have no words left to say
My future now seems futile
But the one thing I'll have till my last day
Is this now well known pain
