Last Raindrop

by Baby Rainbow   Nov 23, 2014

Grief must leave this throbbing heart
before I become trapped within
this comfortable pain -
a pain that has become part of me.

My days are spent running
between seeking his love again,
and trying to let it go -
but I only find myself motionless.

And I smile to the world
like an aching flower that just
felt its last raindrop,
and I long for the day
that I will feel
my last tear drop
over you.

Pain has become a constant for you that it is almost a comfort, it is a normal part of your life and has become apart of who you are.

Your days are spent caught between the motions of trying to find his love again and then trying to let it go. You feel stuck because you never truly make a decision.

I love the metaphor of the aching flower. Beautiful! Like this aching flower that has waited so long for it's last raindrop, you are waiting for the day when you will shed the last tear you will ever shed over them.
