Holding On

Simply beautiful!

Even though the weather outside is not ideal, cold and dark. You a sense of warmth from gazing at the stars. During this time, you can feel your loved one wrap their arms around you and remind you that everything IS going to be alright, that you are safe since they are watching over you from above. They may not be there with your physically but they will always be with you in your heart. It comforts you and makes you feel alive, if only for a few moments. Instead of trying to let go, trying to move on, you try to hold on just a little longer to enjoy this feeling of being together once again.

Stars are great reminders of who is watching over us. Though it is cold and dark outside and maybe inside of yourself, stars remind you of the person you lost, maybe a shining light that was a part of you? Memories here are simple because these nights when the sky shines bright that's when you can feel this person hold you and then you know you are safe at least for a little while. You just want to hold onto them forever because they will always be a part of your life and heart. I like this poem because there are different emotions in it. Yes you are sad they are not physically here with you, but the love you have for each other will be in your soul and spirit forever. 5/5
