Iced Tea

by sonya   Nov 23, 2014

I'm in love with a bad man who stole my heart, cradled it in his hands, then ripped it apart. I sing for him each day, but he doesn't hear. Our love is fading is what I fear. So I dance even more, he used to call me his light, even though the days grow long, we still fight. The way he looked at me a long time ago is the way he looks at him, but sweetheart, do I know? I see that smile again. It makes my heart melt inside. But I realize that it's not for me again, then my insides twist and turn like a washing machine. My heart screams out in pain, oh what I lost and what I gain. I throw up flowers and rainbows, too. I am burning and it's all because of you. I cannot breathe anymore in place. I cannot open my eyes ever again, or my heart will get broken.
