Branches (Acrostic)

by Maple Tree   Nov 24, 2014

Blushing memories,
Flushed cheeks
Remain hidden
Amongst flakey
Needles of a pine
Cone tree.
Hidden whispers
Elevate my excitement,
Snow angels sing.

OMG Andrea. This poem holds so much imagery within. The first two lines here tell me so much about this piece. Blushing memories tell the reader that you had so much fun doing what you were. Flushed cheeks tell me that the air is nippy but you love this time of year, late Autumn, early winter maybe?. Or deep winter. I loved how you used pine trees here. Pine trees are here year round and can survive winter time. I get the imagery that you are lying underneath the pine tree making snow angels with friends, because blushing memories I think means more than one person, or even in your youth. This poem holds so much within the restrictions. Wonderful write.
