Wow, Killian, the imagery in this piece is stunning, I could totally see the whole seen. At first I thought you were writing it for your crazy older cousin, the one who ran through the hallway in his underwear singing some song your grandfather hates, but I'm glad to see it was really for your mom. I mean im sorry you missed her, but it was nice to think that someone might have still been there for you. I love that you show how close you two are in this piece despite all the stuff you've been through and I love the way your voice shines through here.

    "I'm all alone now,
    with only dirty dishes
and soap suds to keep me company.
    Where are you?"

^ Even though it is heartrending, these lines were my favorite, the love in them is clear and the emptiness screams out off the page. It is imagery beyond your usual scenes and it sounds like a song lyric.

I hope I haven't gone too personal with this comment, but I do love the piece and I'm sorry you hurt so much. I love you and your mom and your crazy cousin. I love seb and zoe and I hope they enjoyed their holiday to some degree.

    beautiful piece.
