Shattered Porcelain

by UtterlyAlive   Dec 2, 2014

Moonlight kisses the pavement,
Blood controls the streets,
Wind whispers the secrets,
As death and silence meet,

Her body lies there broken,
Like shattered porcelain on the ground,
Their eyes caress her failure,
But their lips don't make a sound

Raven's screams taunt the city,
As they wait to claim the dead,
They fly around in repeated circles,
As the moon discolours to red

Cries are quieted throughout the night,
As the lucky ones hold to sleep,
The minds of the tormented stay awake,
As death's silence they keep

But alas, to dust we'll all return,
Like shattered porcelain to disregard,
We'll laugh upon a darkened eve,
Before our final moment's charred.
