Sorrow, tea and life

by Saerelune   Dec 11, 2014

On morose mornings, I think of myself,
the tea leaves at the bottom of your cup,
gathering like a bad omen, whilst you,
too dazed by the magic that traces
your lips, too dazed to realise
I was the reason for burning.

Sometimes I'd wonder about you,
working at the coffee shop, drawing
flowers out of milk, whilst I,
I would sit there in a corner,
drawing skulls and stealing glances,
if only we were born beneath the same clouds.

Sometimes I see our words, seperated
by oceans, with nothing in common
but the wind that pushed us
to and fro, the ways of fate
dancing to and fro,
mocking our existence.

We took sorrow and life,
and tied our hearts to it,
hoping to blend. But boy,
if it's coffee you desire,
how can I be content
being your cup of tea?

I am in love with this poem......
This is one of those poems where I'm gonna say...
    Wwoonddeeeerrrfffuuuulllllllll....
    (Now imagine me saying this)

Sometimes I see our words, seperated
by oceans, with nothing in common
but the wind that pushed us
to and fro, the ways of fate
    dancing to and fro,
    mocking our existence.
^ this para it touched me.... I really love the way you describe your relationship with this person.

I also love your ending when you say that you are sad that you cannot be that persons coffee and are stuck being a cup of tea which he/she is not much interested in. (Well this is what I thought you are saying).

    Beautifully written
