Fy Little Sparrowl

by James Garrett   Dec 16, 2014

Fly little bird, don't you see,
Fly like your friends, It will set you free.

But to fly on one wing, can't you feel
The ground is your home until you heal.

I'll try to have your wing dressed,
Perhaps with care you will be fully blessed.

But try as I may to save his wing,
It was not to be for the bird who loved to sing.

And to fly unhindered and soar the blue sky,
This little bird wanted now to fly.

For the bird to be impeded and tied with a string,
Was like a death sentence to his small being.

Little bird, little bird, let your spirit soar,
For all things must be as God intended them for.

A lesson is learned from this little sparrow who wanted to soar,

All of us must do what we are created for.
