SUNBEAMS

by James Garrett   Dec 16, 2014

Sunbeams

I saw a sunbeam in the shadows
As the twilight filled out the day,
It was made of many colors
That seemed to show a way.

I saw the path quite clearly
As I gazed into the light,
It pointed me to answers
That had been hidden from my sight.

I was shown the face of God's great love
That comes in many hues,
And provides me with the direction
That is free for me to choose.

So when the darkness comes stealing in
And covers up my sight,
I know I only have to look
Into God's great shining light.

Lovely. Lyrical with an easy, unforced rhyme. Beautifully written.
