For reasons, astray

by Saerelune   Dec 17, 2014

"What was high school like, to you?"

I was the rat in the labyrinth:
driven into corners, hiding
from eyes that read my patterns
like scientists; trial and error.

I was the escapist:
converted into pixels, nothing
but a mouthful of morals,
fistful of amnesia.

I wanted to write a pay check
to humanity, to high school,
the place where I learnt
to dress in black, like a shadow.

But I was broke, broken
by reason, and forgiveness
did not brew from shadows,
and I, I've lost my way.

    Like scientist; trial and error.

    * A scientist, or scientists maybe? You missed something I think :)

    Also:
but a moutful of morals, -- you missed the H :)

So excited I actually get to correct something because you normally are just perfect, hahaha.

This is AMAZING. I know you had a hard time with the letters but I think you definitely did them justice. I love it. Stop posting poems, I have no more nominations. I used them all up on you!

I love the mouthful of morals and fistful of amnesia. What an interesting thought. Love the forgiveness did not brew part... another really peculiar and interesting way to think of something but it just goes together so well. You take so many pieces that don't seem to fit, but they just do, every single time. Gorgeous poetry as always!
