Imaginings

Imaginings

She imagines her love in the dark hours while still asleep, with soft words whispered low,
A fantasy of love for one who only shied, but didn't go.

It is only faith that will cause this love to beacon to her desire,
Her deep love has hoped to make it flower.

He abides within her dreams, oh if it were true,
She suddenly wakes to see a shadow of the lover whom she once knew.

He appears besides her and she realizes that desire had made him real,
What but the powers of love could know what magic will reveal."
