Dim the lights and stand
beside me...

What do you see? Beside
the reflective light and the
dark lines. Yes, it is a map
of what lies beneath.

An acclaimed doctor is not
who I pretend to be, but I can
still see the outline that stretches
to surround the void that was once
filled with your presence.

Listen to the rhythms that are
breaking indefinitely, a fine tune
they used to play before when it
was you who is loving me.

Lights on, it feels like years
had passed on us. I am left
in here, with you so near and
the answers I seek are close
enough, but the silence always
falls when it comes to us.

Diagnose it before it is to late
for me to breathe, what is it
that I need? A pacemaker or
some other heart remedy?
