Amazon Queen

by Liz   Dec 21, 2014

O, Amazon Queen,
such beauty you hold.
Your gaze flaring danger,
your posture so bold.

Created for battle,
chosen warrior since birth.
Fearless of fighting,
against all evils of earth.

O, Amazon Queen
with your double-edged spear.
Wounding without compassion
those who dare come too near.

Your trustworthy dagger;
for those who intrude.
Gently murderous hands,
which no man can elude.

O, Amazon Queen,
mighty goddess of war.
Shout your victorious cry,
yours is the glory once more.

Unconquered you are
o, woman of power.
Before your presence,
every man shall cower.

O, Amazon Queen
such reckless stare in your eyes.
Deceiving your enemies,
with your enchanting disguise.

Mercy means nothing,
no such thing as serene
If you die at the hands,
of my Amazon Queen.

June 2006.

This is really amazing. How perfectly and well you have written this! Wow!! The strong Queen riding on her horse and slicing down all the enemies she passed by into the pool of blood. Great stuff. And yes, the beauty of this poem is at his best.

    This is my best Stanza

You have expressed how strong a woman can be. Being a woman doesn't mean you just depend upon others. Good work

You are really a very decent poet with a very impressive thinking power. 5/5.

This is different from your usual writes. It had a very modern feel about it...like an anime character or something...not sure? really did enjoy this one from you, also liked the repitition of O Amazon Queen. Well done.

I doubt I can write with such rigorous structure.

If you were to take the second verse of each stanza that would be an amazing poem:

    "Such beauty you behold,
    Chosen warrior since birth.
    With your double-edged spear,
    For those who intrude.
    Mighty Goddess of War,
    O, woman of power,
Such reckless stare in your eyes,
    No such thing as serene."
