Take my kiss

by brin macnamara   Jul 6, 2004

The lofty poplar trees dance majestically in the early morning sunbeams
swaying in unison they talk to the tender wind whilst the zephyr in his turn promises
to convey messages wished upon him to those with a sincere heart.

and there i stand. watching them.
glancing my face the zephyr asks my heart what to convey.
only this winged herald:
take this kiss from my lips and gently plant upon the lips of my beloved.
though take care not to wake her lest
she discover its sender.

as dusk's weighty dew settles upon my longsome heart,
i call out her name into the breeze.
reaching and understanding my heart,
he snatches it
taking it far up,up into his inner self
journeying it away to meet hers as she lies with another.

take care not to disturb her lest she discover to whom the heart belongs.
