From the Heart

by Maple Tree   Dec 29, 2014

I've written words, confessions from my soul,
Emotions taking over, spinning out of control.

My pen scribbled ink, mixed with salty tears
Reminiscing about our love the past four years.

There isn't a time or day that stands out,
Each second with you is worth writing about.

I'm not a writer that flows with a pen like you,
Rhyming words from the heart, for the reader to view.

My metaphors scatter in coma's mixed in nature,
Conveying beauty, something far greater.

Our marriage is more than a union of two,
We have a strength that gets us through.

It's a love that grows deeper than stanzas can express,
Within theses lines, a wife needs to confess.

I'll always love you Jim, in this life and beyond,
Our love is precious, a magical bond.

This is beautiful, I do really love your poems when you do just write from your heart, they are truly touching and so so beautiful.

I like the rhyming in this one, and also love your little hint towards the fact that you usually do not write in rhyme like J does lol.
But when you do, you always pull it off.

Another thing I like about this poem is how you refuse to pick just one or two moments from your 4 years together, but instead you express that every single second you have been with him is worth writing about. I find this really beautiful and shows how precious your relationship is.

Beautiful tone throughout and I like the personal dedication at the end by mentioning his name and how your love will last forever and never end - this is true love, and one I can relate to. Your love poems always hit me hard!!

    Damn... you smell

Such a purely beautiful write with more meaning than I can comprehend... this love you have is amazing and I'm so happy you have each other in this life. I especially liked how you said marriage is more than a union of two, it's that but more powerful... what gives you both strength each day.

Small, small note: "Ive" should have an apostrophe :P

    Lovely love poem!
