Butterfly Love

by James Garrett   Jan 4, 2015

Shush! Do you hear it on the breeze?
It comes and goes like something trying to breath.

There! It comes from the marigolds,
A sight to gaze at as it unfolds.

I saw butterfly's of every color so bright,
Making butterfly love, it was a happy delight..

A butterfly garden with thousands of wings,
Their entrancing colors was quiet a bling.

Fluttering and diving to join on the flower,
I felt like an intruder to watch the encounter.

I walked away with a smile on my face,
I was permitted by chance to watch their embrace.

Butterfly love makes the world go round.
Yet they flap their wings with hardly a sound.

Millions of butterfly's beating the air with glee,
Surely you will know it's a spring jubilee.

I like the read. Everything sounded smooth to me until I reached the last couplet. Other than that I could see those butterflies. I felt as I was in there.

      Everlasting,
I agree with u. I ended the piece differently so that it didn't ruin the poem.
      thank u,
