Kick It

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 6, 2015

Selfishness and greed
spreads across our nation,
stealing smiles of innocent hearts.

Lets all kick it to the kerb
and wash it down the drain
with kindness and compassion.

One random act of kindness
from one soul to another,
will fill the world with hope
and restore their broken faith
that kindness is still alive.

Lets kick it quick
and spread the love,
pay it forward
and rise above!

Loved the title 'Kick it'.An inspiring write for the entire humankind. The message, kindness and compassion alone can restore the faith and fill this world with hope ,is so profound.

    Loved the last stanza:
It speaks of the quick action to be taken.

I love this SO much Saffie. I nominated it. There is so much truth to the first stanza, especially here in the united states. Greed plays a part in a lot of unkind hearts and it sickens me to death. I LOVE THE USE OF KERB!! Not many people will get that it can be used this way as well. very sneaky and well done on that. But yes I agree with your message as well, because greed can be overcome by compassion. But in the world nowadays this is so much more greed then kindness it seems with all the killings. We should always pay it forward and spread the love, because the world does need more of that. Through your eyes I can see this coming from your heart. and you wanting to spread some kindness to your world. excellent poem! 5/5
