Life's Changes

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 6, 2015

If nothing ever changes,
nothing ever grows.
Everything would stay the same
and none of us would learn.

Changes happen over time
and reasons always lie within,
although sometimes we struggle
to find them right away.

But changes keep our world turning,
keep the flame of our hearts burning,
for if nothing ever changes,
we all would stay the same.

Nothing in life changes for you
except the things that have to.

This poem holds and interesting perspective on life. All of this is true as well. In life we don't grow without change and we don't learn without the mistakes that we made or make. Without changes we would be stuck in the same old place in our comfort zone and fear would grip us. Then it could become a vicious circle of life and nothing would ever change for us. Sometimes it is good to stay the same in some ways but this world is always changing and as a society we must change with it otherwise we will become lost not through our fault. I love this poem a lot because there is a hint of irony to it, while we are ever changing, if we change too much would we not become lost more? Interesting perspective. 5/5
