Pictures fading in their frames
Smiling faces now up in flames
Ashes fall like snow in a storm
Burying scars of the old and worn

Uphill struggles with weighted shoulders
Cursed like Sisyphus pushing his boulders
Repeating the struggles I've always fought
Can't learn a lesson if it was never taught

Buried in the darkness for much too long
Walking the line between right and wrong
A living ghost among rows of dead men
Now shut your eyes and count to ten
