Chains And Spiders

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 20, 2015

Chained to a mattress on the concrete floor,
in a soundproof basement where I'm safe no more.

Clothes stripped off and thrown away
so these strange men can start to play.

Spiders crawling over my bare skin,
just the usual ritual about to begin.

Links of the chains digging into my wrists,
which is nothing compared to the pain of their fists.

I lie there alone,
frozen like stone,
blindfolded from any sight,
terrified of the spider's bite.

Chained to a mattress on the concrete floor,
I beg you God,
please let my lungs breath no more.

Wow Saffie, This has a dark and sadistic feeling that gives the reader a chilling imagery. I don't think this really happened to you, so maybe it is a phobia that you have night mares about? Or something you saw in a movie one time? I think it is the first one though. You have fears of spiders and being tied up with no where to move. I love how you introverted the basement. it gives more of an eeire feeling and gives the reader the mind set of what you are setting up to. then the plots hits you and you start to feel the character agony. I loved the rhyming in this as well, I think it flows well with the rest of the poem and gives us some sane to this insane poem. 5/5
