Alone in this room
I have time to ponder and to think
In my minds eye
I can see the sky above....as it moves
Though bound to a bed
My thoughts are vivid
Telling me about the time gone bye
And
The times that we walked along the shore
Or
Across the meadows deep
Your hand in mine
With the grass tickling my toes
All the while
The fresh air I breathe in deeply
And I feel alive again
For the sun
And the fragrances that abound......., set my spirit free
And for once I can visualize
Where I'm going
From all of the paths
Of where I've been
My heart is yours
For you have made me complete
Even with all of my little quirks
You love me
For who I am
Not for who I could become
And as you guide me through this life
Allow me to follow you
With the heart of a child
Lest I forget to be meek
I want to hear your voice
In everything that I do
And see your face..... in the FATHER looking back at me
with loving eyes
Ever holding me close
As time passes
My friends brings me news
Of the world outside
Shelter me.......,from the harm that is out there
For in you is there peace
And rest for my weary soul
May I go forth and spread the news
Of all of the love that you graced me bye
So that I can face you at the end of time
With hands wide open
My spirit clean
And
