Jealous Hearts

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 27, 2015

You grew jealous of my tatted teddy bear,
claiming that he dried more of my tears
than you did.

From that moment on
I let you be my shoulder to cry on;
the tissue in my pocket that soaked up all the pain.

I am inseparable from the memory of our love,
as I can vividly remember how sweet it was
to be loved by you.

I grew jealous of the clouds as they now soak up
more of your tears than I ever did,
before we became soul hearts divided.

    Ah, my dear Saffie. I've yet to ever read anything of yours that disappoints, so it surprises me that this one was overlooked.

    "I grew jealous of the clouds as they now soak up
    more of your tears than I ever did,
    before we became soul hearts divided. "

    The way that I read this, is either the person who you let comfort you, someone you were close to, has either disappeared or passed away. I'm leaning more toward this is a loved one who passed away, who you had a real connection with. And the reference to the clouds refers to the fact that their tears come from the heavens.

    You always word everything with ways that provoke thought to own personal interpretation. This is multi-dimensional, and I feel like could reach someone with personal grasp. It's relatable. And beautiful, as usual. Purely beautiful, and gorgeously written.
