Ocean

by Liz   Feb 4, 2015

You remind me of an ocean.
Not in the way you come or
the way you go,
but
in vastness and beauty.

The way you send
our hearts adrift.
The way you caress
my eager shores.
The way you calm
my rushing mind.
The way you kiss
my untouched skin.
The way you fill
my lungs
with empty hope.

The way I feel like I
can't breathe without you.

You remind me of an ocean.
Not in vastness nor beauty,
but
in the way you come and

(the way you rush toward
me with force.
The way you knock
me off my feet.
The way you drag
me under.
The way you revel at
my desperation.
The way you fill
my lungs
with empty hope

the way I feel like I can't
breathe when you're around me.)

the way you go.

Not sure what category to stick this under.

Favorited (: This is so beautiful .. I love the comparison to an ocean, how you say that not what it looks like, but what it does to you that matters .. Lovely ^^,
