This reminds me of a very well known Arabic saying, which makes me wonder if you do know arabic!
I love the message of these words,
but if I were you I'd play a bit more with the heart burning, because it gives the negative meaning the way its set at the moment, as in burning by ache. Perhaps a more optimistic adjective, the spark that keeps your heart beaming ? shining ? or adding the word flame to heart..

anyway just my suggestions.
I can't agree more! One can never give what he does not have, to love others, one should 1st start by loving himself.
