The Arabian Dream

by Sunshine   Feb 12, 2015

A fragile cry chanted,
of far-off dreams
lost in the slumber
of unfulfilled hopes,
genuinely sung
from within the cuts
gone sore in our throats,
and the wounds wide-open
between our sealed lips.

A tradition of defeat
on the half sphere of cracks
and fractures burying
martyrs, damages, loss,
and thousands of blood conventions.

A poem-nation of a never-ending war,
a song heard but un-understood,
a dream ambiguous
to this world of deaf
that is blind to the ruins,
that sees but growth and luxury,
such is, the Arabian Dream;

a wish of marching in the light,
when the sun will find no East
to rise from, and beam.

This is amazing wording here, the saddest and cuts straight to my heart.

It's so hard to find words to comment on this piece Nana. I can't touch on the subject , nor can I in any way analyze or Critique this...it was poured Out in a way that seems to be effortless.

    Love your writing, xoxo.
