Coffee Beans and Thoughts

by Poet on the Piano & Maple Tree   Feb 18, 2015

She stormed through a coffee-less life;
a soul yearns for caffeinated dreams.
With lethargic eyes, she searched the streets;
a tattered, scuffed skeleton wonders.
When would love resurface and meet her
for scriptures unveil prophecy of hope.
She tries to no longer steep in sadness
because thoughts are pure as a fresh fallen snow,
causing her to shiver yet awaken from the iceberg
that has formed around her quivering heart.

Sipping coffee slowly she
unthaws, greeting a life she can taste.

    Wooow what an opening for this poem. Those two lines by themselves spoke tons to me, so many thoughts and interpretations rushed to my mind. I don't know how you two came up with the idea, but I think it is brilliant!!
    Aftee I rwad then I stopped and thought about tons of things. How dull could a life be without energy, without something that would give us a push towards a dream that wouls light up our lives. It is said that a lofe without a dream is meaningless. This is just one thought out of many others.

    What a creative piece, loooveddd it :)
