Chronicles of Our Love

by Maple Tree   Feb 24, 2015

All I have is pulsating beats
of a heart that has pondered
a weary road.

Withered and faded in time
it scattered tears along
highways of messy roads,
left to fend for itself,
and I often wonder
why it still beats.

First kisses were never
sentimental to me and
I shadowed love like
a satanic lurker.

I bathed as a demon
for so long after the first
crushing of disappointment
that I never new I was alive
until you resurrected me
back from the fallen.

I became a dark angel-

Feeling for the first time
the warmth of your kiss,
such a revival and yet
a new journey has unveiled
insecurities within the deepest
core of me, but I overcome
them, because you simply guide
me, with loving, valiant grace.

A tale of darkness that
forever is being unveiled
with eternal purity,
it amazes my heart daily
of the scattered scriptures
that are written within the
chronicles of our love....

No holds barred in this love poem it holds the mind with loves disappointments swiftly yet laboriously lost to your heart when his love once more conquers it, all the past left behind because you need love as we all do.
Beautifully put together obviously written from the heart a tear rendering poem with a very thought filled ending.
