That Day

That day ,
When i held you close to me ,
before i said good bye
my mind acted like a tide
didn't know how far
am gonna go without you .
But i knew i wasn't getting
off the ocean
no matter how far i travelled .
For without the ocean of love
A tide would be nothing .

All that was left was hope ,
i could wander along the shores ,
looking for the sign
that you'd be back again
but all i saw was sand
i couldn't find you my rock
to tame my world
and show me a line of stones
where i shouldn't cross .

I felt faithless
but not hopeless
cause i know you'll come
across the shores some day
and that is the day I'll have
a boundary to places i got to reach .
