Death Notes

by Emily Wacker   Mar 7, 2015

If the death note is what is found,
Then what is truly gone?
The soul,
The oh so innocent soul,
Trapped forever in a happiness forbidden place,
They're not supposed to go like that,
And when they realize what they gave up,
They will want to write a life note.

I'm more into rhyming poetry, but I love exceptions like this little gem. Kinda makes you think harder about life and what can be lost. I like how it leaves the doors open to thoughts of what could have been for persons in that situation. Very thought provoking.

I agree with Mr Pickard: this is a pretty clever write indeed :)

Oh my goodness, thank you so much, Maher! and that means so much that this is enjoyable even seeing as it isn't your preferred style. All the best,
