Through the Window - Pantoum form

by Everlasting   Mar 16, 2015

Through the window, a snowflake falling on the grass,
like a raindrop, shapely frozen, but melting on the ground,
As if it was the liquid, the cozy warmth, that fills my glass
Where ice cubes melt till a balance in temperature is found.

Like a raindrop, shapely frozen, but melting on the ground,
I toss the ice cubes, splish-and-splashing, in hot tea
Where ice cubes melt till a balance in temperature is found
for my tongue to savor the chamomile in my tea.

I toss the ice cubes, splish-and-splashing, in hot tea
As if it was the liquid, the cozy warmth, that fills my glass
for my tongue to savor the chamomile in my tea.
Through the window, a snowflake falling on the grass.

I like this form and you have done good with it. It sings like a winter song. Nicely done with the flow and rhythm!

You made me look up the form, pantoum. It is a new one to me, so it's like you've given me two presents: your lovely poem and a new form to try.
