Hailstorm

by Kakera   Mar 19, 2015

Through tunnel vision and indifference
she portrayed the beauty of destruction,
summoning sapphires from the orbits
of any in her audience.

She loathed the very idea of beauty,
and caused a shift in its meaning
when she created hailstorms of rubies
with every flap of her failing wings.

With every step forward, she left
worlds of scars in both earth and flesh,
driving life itself to insanity
just by being.

O how tragic the irony of fate is
when a death wish is everything
that such a goddess of carnage
truthfully carries;

how divine the captivity of her darkness,
though stillborn she continued to sing,
and dance the requiem of infinity
in the ruins that she left in her wake:

and neither for her nor for anyone else
can there ever be an escape.

Gripping poem which speaks volumes of emotions. This is quite a raw poem, taken fro that dark place where have all travelled and feel like there is no escape from, and Kakera has shown this dark place using a mix of creative wording, and honest emotions straight out.
