Guilty Shadow

by Baby Rainbow   Mar 25, 2015

I'm cutting up roses into petals of truth,
then
burning
them
down
in
flames.

Sooner or later
you will be exposed
for what you are,
and guilt will be
your only silhouette
of the lonely night
inside your
concrete cell.

Well said, once again! One of the things I like about your poetry is that you tell it straightforwardly, as it is,
with no beating about the bush! It is one of your talents and you use it well!

Wow Saffie, this is ... intense? Creative? Heartbreaking? I'm not sure of the right word. But I really do like the way you wrote this. The one word lines in your first stanza were a great idea, they helped create the discord and frustration of this person's actions and how you feel towards them. The style is creative. The word choice is wonderful and as always your imagery is spot on. Wonderfully... tense write.
