firelight and
ruby kisses.
Passion marks
possession claiming.
Ribbons trailed
down wrists, declaiming
red, for lover lost
and fading.

    I agree with Saffie's suggestion about the love lost and fading because it is a bit difficult to stay focused as is. However, this is magnificently penned and absolutely stunning in the way it makes something so tragic and gruesome into something almost beautiful in its own way. Nicely penned/

    This is so powerful! I think you done well to mention a few of the things associated with the colour red.

    My only little fault in the poem is this line here:

    for lover lost
    and fading.

    ^ that bit made me stumble, and I wasn't sure if you meant "lovers" or "a lover" but I assume it should be lovers, it would make more sense.

    But other than that, I really liked it.
