Four Gentlemen

by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko   Apr 3, 2015

I've never known
you will appear like
ink and wash painting to me.

I won't symbolize
Chinese art anymore.
I don't care about spring
and the refined beauty of these flowers.

---

Don't you know?
Those Orchids will not return anymore.
And you will regret
that you let
an impressionist painting
be the
glossary of your life.

---

Don't come back
when you tire
of counting the petals
of those Chrysanthemums.

---

Leave that Bamboo behind,
and watch the unfolding of seasons...

alone.

---

Watch those
Plum Blossoms weep
because you are incapable
of being
the harbinger of spring.

---

Forgive me,
I didn't know
the Chinese art inside me
would sever.

I love flowers and with each poem you pen I can see, relate and touch the flowers. I like how you bring nature and human feelings together for it enhances the read! Loved it!
