Consecrated.

I tattoo you from the light; I pray for you into
the night. There is danger in this -- my bedside
creaks, aging in the belief that I will never
find myself to lean on.

Are you worth the risk? Am I worth the pain
when I will have to exhale you from my
lungs, like you weren't the butterflies I've
been sneaking into my bloodstream the
past four months.

I haven't held you yet to mourn losing your
litanies. I've sung "I once was lost but now am found"
at too many funerals that never blessed my
tears. I don't want to walk the black shadows
through you -- I don't need you to try to
bury me.

The cross on my neck curses me for
loving you.

    This poem is another way of expressing someone's sorrow and doubts that just push the mind to it's limits, truly awe inspiring! Beautiful visual imagery is just drenched in this poem, sown in is the emotional essence that begs to keep the reader to keep reading more and it's relatable to the poet who wrote it. My heart aches for the person who has gone through this and has gone through this. Really relatable and inspirational, a voice that speaks to all and is heard by all.
