Gazing

by Saerelune   Apr 11, 2015

You push and pull me
the way the moon sends ocean waves
towards the lap of sand-laden lands
and back to its tender gaze again.

Sometimes I wished I could reach out to you,
like a lighttower in the midst of the night.
But nothing remains except a glow of desire,
trailing into salt waters like footsteps on the beach.
