Poetic Bloom (Collaboration)

by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko & Karla   Apr 15, 2015

The cliffs of dream sleep
beneath my eyelashes
shadowed by seeds, salt
and satin selves.

Blue water blue
let me climb
where love resides;
a four-leaf clover still pierces
my foam heart.

The springtime air
and the wave that whistles
as beams of light shine through
a distant cliff
make these perennial grasses
harbour multitudes of stories
deserted by you,
make the sea bow
to the sand like a shy maiden
as I see how many lives breathed
through me long before
I slept in the hands of oblivion.

Blue water blue
let me sink
in my pure depths of yesterday
for the file shall tell you
another tale.

The impulses to see you
are made by
the way the sea rushes
to your body;
sturdy rocks erode
and I just long for you.

My heart is carelessly
buried in its stones whilst
the words of my poetry
migrate to the distant horizon;

Blue water blue
let me dream
of a cliff,
a field where clovers bloom.
