Daisies (From The Wrexham-Shropshire Line)

Even the rattle of the china
cannot distract,
great swathes of daisy
bright against the backdrop green,
a brief gap of wild purple
or sheepish white before
the mythic strokes of
windswept yellow wave again
their greeting as I pass.
