Shapes Of The Things To Come

by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko   Apr 26, 2015

Petals from a flower
are scattered in the thick air
like severed reveries,
mixing with smogs;
danger,
stranger,
pieces of a Lavender;
luring poets
to different oceans,
horizons, corners,
and streetsides;

bothering them to write
it all down on a paper.

    Dashiel, this is beautiful. Even though it is short, it expresses how poets get an inspiration or object to write on from so simple a-thing...it's very very beautiful.

    Smh, This piece is wonderful Dashiel. Though short, you have a lot of things going here. and for the I like it. It seems like here you used the world as your muse kind of thing. You take the things that are beautiful in your life and make it your muse. I love the way you worded this as well. There is a sense of hope and sadness within the first stanza, but once you get to the end the inner feelings of a person comes out. It really is a great metaphor you used here, The flowers (are the beautiful part of life, or I consider it your happiness) and the smog, strangers are part of the bad part of life ( or stuffing your feelings in your soul) But as poets we know we need a mixture of both to write. Of course we all have different muses inside of us. That is what makes poetry and writing great, because we can use those ideas, to let our emotions flow. 5/5
