Night Bird:

by Scott Cole   May 8, 2015

That ole Early Bird
He gets the worm,
But the Night Bird
He has to work.

For that dim moon
Puts up a fight,
To keep that big sky
Filled up with light.

Night Bird,,,Night Bird
How do you see,
To find that worm
Oh tell me please.

Do you have eyesight
That can see at night,
Or do you just hate
Your eye in the light.

A Night Owl
Is what I am called,
Cause I'm never at home
And I am always gone.

When I get home
It's the crack of dawn,
I'm feeling real sleepy
And I start to yawn.

So usually by now
It is way to late,
To be the Early Bird
And that I do hate.

But I'm a Night Bird
I only fly by night,
I sleep all day
When it is light.

Yes the Early Bird
Will get the worm,
For the Night Bird
I can not confirm.
