Memories Of Nobody

by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko   May 12, 2015

Do you still fall
like leaves on a September wind?

A severed ribbon
still dances in the
misty gusts of your lost laughter.

Forget-me-nots still bloom
in the sidewalks
you walked on
when you dragged your feet away --
the only thing heard
was your echoing footsteps
and my heart
that pounded in pain,
time was obscure
and I drowned
in the soothing loneliness
that was breaking
my heart and my soul.

Can't remember
how beams of light
shone through
with every step you took,
but it is still clear to me
how your back
looked like
the moment you were
turning away from me --

old Roses, rustic...

...weeping.

The flashbacks
which come after
hurt more

than farewells.

The vivid imagery throughout the piece was elegant and the wording was simple but stunning. The emotions popped out of these piece was a pleasure to read. Really relatable too to people who have had their hearts broken. Those that enjoy tragic love this is the best cup of coffee to read in a heartbroken day.

This really spoke to my heart.

My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship and we know all too well the pain that comes with goodbyes... and how it lingers long after they're gone.

    Beautiful write.
