A parting toast

To the daughters I lost
I toast to your names

Donia you were demonic but you
loved your husband and child

Anastasia you were rigid
yet you were crazy about your man

Jade heartbroken you were
because of a marriage gone wrong

Athena you were young, although
pregnancy agreed with you though.

Ash you were my wife
my partner my joy, my life

Our daughters are in a better place
& I know you are too

Cheers to you & to me
Love you all

    This is one of those poems that i read once then think and re read again. Sometimes we lost someone because they are out of our sight but they remains in our hearts. We all wanted to be part of our children lives forever, but sometimes their chooses different path in life, so then we felt as if we lost them to someone else. Also there are the other type of lost that stings our soul, they eternal goodbyes, the pain of loosing someone that not even our hearts can relate.
    I'm glad i came across your poems. Keep on writing.
