Saffie, this is a superb poem. The imagery is very clear and the metaphor is well used. The content looks current but it is difficult to work out the context.

It could be negative, positive or rather disturbing for those people who look upon you as a friend. Negatively, it could say that you are giving up on life, and those who you say 'use' you for their own ends, the end, kaput! Positively, it could say that you are fed up being led along the road of life and are going to start making all your choices and decisions for yourself, although to my mind, in the important things, you already do that! More disturbingly, it could say that we who look upon you as friends, are not friends to you at all, but just people who 'use' you for our own ends! That would be really sad, as we, and I am sure your other friends, have always assumed that you enjoyed our company and friendship as much as we enjoy yours?

Oh Saffie, I am so happy that you are writing again. This poem is great for its short nature. The metaphor here is incredible. Life is for sure a road and we all must drive it at some point. I think what you are saying here though is that, you must take control of your own life and stop letting people drive you around (as in stop letting them tell you what to do). Through all three lines I can tell your feelings and emotions come out, Not a lot of people can use imagery and metaphor but you have done so well here. 5/5
