Her Darkest Hour

by Rob   May 19, 2015

In her darkest hour she turns to them,
In her desperate time of need,
Not knowing this is where they hide,
To bite and then watch you bleed...

Dark visions appear through tainted skies,
Evil dances with their queen,
In this forest where black shadows fall,
Living in fear of past shattered dreams...

You came here just seeking seclusion,
From a life where pain is too real,
If they only knew how they hurt you,
And why your heart can no longer feel...

You stroll along the darkened path,
In a realm where the fog is blood red,
Where shadows dance and cries are heard,
In the trees far up above your head...

Silently you stand there,
Your eyes gaze but can not believe,
You can see them far above you,
Clinging to the branches of the trees...

You have to struggle just to see,
Through the mist and darkened skies,
This forest where there ferries chant,
Of those who came and died...

Your tears fall on your pale skin,
So tired of the affliction and pain,
That came form those you loved the most,
But to them it was all just a game...

You were hoping for their comfort,
But you knew things were not right,
Now they fly down all around you,
A they bite you in the night...

You start to wonder as you fade out,
What happened to the life you knew,
But you know the time is near,
And the rest of your life is through...

And so because it is over now,
The ferries fly back to the trees,
With one parting cry that seals your fate,
Forever rest in peace...

And once again, they wait...
